About wetlands
Wetland ecosystems support us in so many ways. They provide flood control, shoreline stabilisation and storm protection, and refill groundwater and purify the water. Wetlands function as reservoirs of biodiversity and offer to the local communities and visitors their products and opportunities for recreation and tourism.
